Bring in the babies!
Did you know that the American Dental Association recommends that a child's should have their first dental visit either at the time their
first tooth erupts or by their 1st birthday?
While this may seem a little young to be seen at the dentist, this first appointment is crucial. During the initial appointment both parent and child will receive the education to properly care for their children at home.
From diet counseling to brushing instructions it's great to start proper oral hygiene at home at an early age.
During your child's first visit with the Dr. Jenny, they will receive an exam and cleaning, and they'll help the Doctor count their teeth! Dr. Jenny has 2 young daughters, and she is amazing with kids. She will keep the appointment fun and informative, while keeping both child and parent at ease.
Patient Education
It's extremely important to instill good oral hygiene from a young age. Not only will it benefit their overall health, but it will also help them to create healthy habits that will then establish into a routine that they will continue into adulthood.
Keeping the appointments fun are important to Dr. Jenny, as a bad or scary experience may lead to a lifelong fear of the dentist. Dr. Jenny has been known to attempt to sing Encanto and Sponge Bob during appointments with the kids. Although she probably won't end up on The Voice, it has been shown to help alleviate the kids fears (also evoking a few laughs).
